[AIKIDO TIPS#3] Katatedori SANKYO – Basic Body Mechanics

This tutorial video proposes to use the Aikido technique Katatedori Sankyo as a means to study some basics of body mechanics. Here, the focus resides on connecting the hands to the hips so that the whole body moves the partner, instead of the arms alone. In the second part, we look into the importance of the timing of this movement so as not to break the momentum.

[Why this video series?]
Due to the COVID-19 situation, all my classes and summer courses were cancelled this year, so I decided to provide a few simple technical tips to fellow Aikidoka via this series of videos. Hopefully, this will be short lived and I am looking forward to see you again on the tatami very soon!
